To many, it is a shango related name, represented by a comet in motion associated with the notion of a flying stone. In this regard, it means shango throwing the stone through the heavens. ‘Oba-Irawo’ means the governor of stars, but more exactly, it pertains to astroids and comets in motion through the planetary system, including the sun and moon. 'Obba Irawo' brings together the latin music magic of OMI TUTU's label head Lou Gorbea, fellow musician Scott Wozniak, percussionist Nick Laboy and of course, the incomparable vocal stylings of Nina! The result? SPIRITUAL ASCENSION!
